CURRENT MINISTRY & MISSIONARY ACTIVITIES

Our Congregational life group plans our upcoming Church events and outreach programs, and is open to and welcomes all members of the Congregation.   Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, 9:30am in the Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome to attend…bring your activity ideas!

Creative Hands

Creative hands will begin meeting again on Tuesdays starting September 9th, 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Our fall focus will be on making Chemo Caps for the Collingwood Cancer Support Centre.

If you knit or crochet, or would like to learn, we would love to see you. Our conversation is always lively and a cup of tea/coffee will make it worthwhile to
join us.

Below are pictures of our latest project, the Pneumonia Prevention Vests with hats and booties made by our Creative Hands group (and other members who work from home). These were delivered to Faith Missionary Church who will have them distributed to third world countries where babies are in dire need.

MUSIC MINISTRY

We are a congregation who enjoys music, and have many talented members and adherents who take part in the worship service as song leaders, and often share their musical gifts. We invite and encourage others to share their gift of music with us during our Sunday Morning service.  Please contact Ruth Currie if you have any inquiries regarding this ministry – please see CONTACT page.

  • STAMPS FOR LEPROSY MISSION
Many friends of The Leprosy Mission Canada help by sending them their trimmed, used postage stamps. These stamps are then repackaged into 25 lb. bags and sold to stamp dealers. The money raised from stamp sales is used to supply medicine, care and rehabilitation to people suffering from leprosy.
Please note that stamp dealers;
Are interested in the special commemorative issues of Canadian/
American postage stamps (but are not interested in regular flag stamps)
  • Welcome all foreign stamps
  • Prefer stamps to be trimmed, leaving a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch paper border, being careful not to damage the perforation
We have a receptacle on the table at the back of the sanctuary (in front of the sound-system booth) to collect your stamps as described above. Please support us in this mission.

Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank

The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank is a Registered Charity that accepts food donations and charitable contributions.  Your Food Bank is 100% run by volunteers and solely funded through the generous donations of the Wasaga Beach community.  The Food Bank is open on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 6:30PM-8:30 PM.  The food bank is located at 818 Mosley Street in the same plaza as Canada Post.

Thank you for your generosity!

For more information on how and what to donate, please visit wasagafoodbank.ca.

Ministry of Welcome

This Ministry of Welcome consists of members who have volunteered to greet our visitors, guests, and congregation members at each worship service.  This is a fairly simple yet important part of our ministry as it provides all worship participants with an effective, positive welcome to our church.

In order to better equip our welcome volunteers for their assigned duties, our Interim Moderator Rev. Dr. Neal Mathers has prepared a learning video for all who either are currently involved in the Ministry of Welcome, as well as those who are interested in participating but have yet to sign up.  The link for the video can be found here:

OUR VISION STATEMENT:

“We will care and share by:

  • offering our building free of charge to non-profit community groups that build relationships
  • encouraging contributions to the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank
  • offering, whenever able, to provide meals to those less fortunate than ourselves, including those in our church family who are ill
  • sending cards, telephoning/visiting those of us who are ill
  • providing transportation to and from church, or other appointments for those in our church family who are incapacitated”
